Mango has faced serious backlash since unveiling Kendall Jenner as face of its latest campaign.
The brand (Mango) announced the reality star and fast rising model as the face of Mango's Tribal Spirit Campaign (Spring 2016) and social media went into a frenzy. The backlash directed at the brand saw people reacting to using the model to portray a' tribal campaign' which most saw as unreasonable.
The brand however remains confident that the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star is the best model for the job. "We thought that she was the best model to embody this trend," . "And obviously the upside with that is that, as a model, she's very professional. She works fantastically. As a celebrity, she has huge repercussions in the market and among her followers."Daniel López; Mango's Vice President told Women's Wear Daily.
