"How do I get rid of pimples?"

How to get rid of pimplesAt some point in life most people usually experience one or a combination of breakouts, pimples, blemish or acne. It’s painful, sometimes itchy and surely hard to cover with makeup! Worst of all it leaves that dreaded blackhead when it finally goes down. Ok let’s put the facts in place before we discuss the solution.
What are the causes?
In very simple terms, it happens when your pores (tiny holes in your skin) gets blocked. Some people like to blame it on the following factors;
-Stress
- Change of environment
- Allergic reaction to a particular product
- Diet
- Hormonal changes
We like to blame it on a buildup of bacteria as a result of some simple things we do or forget to do.
What am I doing wrong?
  1. Popping your pimples: the only time you need to touch your face is during your skin care routine or applying makeup (with clean fingers) any other time is compounding the problems as the bacteria will spread and make it worse.
  2. Using facial cleansing Brushes: they are great to use especially to help open up your pores, however if you have pimples your skin is inflamed, any vigorous scrubbing will irritate the inflammation and won’t make it any better.
  3. Using too many products at a time: it takes the skin about 4weeks to rejuvenate. Be patient with your skincare. Using too many products that do the same thing makes it difficult for you to know which one actually works for your skin type.
  4. Using harsh creams: products that promise to whiten or lighten your skin will probably do so initially but in the long run, damage your skin in more ways than you can imagine.
How can I make it better?
  1. Be gentle with your face, at this time try not to scrub your face till the inflammation settles. In the meantime make sure you are consistent with your routine; cleanse and moisturize your skin twice a day
  2. Always take off your makeup with makeup removers or simple wipes before you begin your routine. Washing your face alone is not enough because your skin absorbs whatever you on it; so it is very important to ensure that all the dirt is completely taken off.
  3. Cleansing is a very important process in your routine as it takes off any excess makeup or dirt that may be left and opens up your pores for your moisturizer.
  4. There is no such thing as over moisturizing. Your skin needs moisture to stay hydrated and glow. You need to replace the lost moisture from the cleansing and washing. Always remember to choose moisturizers according to your skin type.
  5. The skin on your face is more sensitive than the rest of your body and deserves special care. Try using a different towel especially for your face other than your bath towel.
  6. Bacteria easily spreads and so it is important to change/wash your pillow covers very often to avoid a buildup of dirt and bacteria which could be spread to your face.
  7. Check your diet, you may want to stay off sugar and groundnut oil for good. Try choosing healthier options like honey, extra virgin olive oil or canola oils for your cooking
What products should I be using?
Whatever product you decide to choose; whether its store bought or homemade always have the following in mind:
  1. What works for someone else may not necessarily work for you. The key is choosing a product that works for your skin type.
  2. If your skin is oily and more prone to blemish or acne, always look out for oil free ingredients rather than those that are for “all skin types”.
  3. When choosing makeup always look for products that are “non-comedogenic” which means they won’t clog your pores.
  4. The importance of drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day cannot be overemphasized. Its keeps your skin hydrated and gives you a natural glow.
  5. Never leave the house without sunscreen. You need to protect your skin form the harsh rays of the sun; which usually causes sun burns, uneven skin tone, and dullness amongst other things.
  6. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables go a long way in improving the quality of your skin. Ok guys, so we have touched on a little bit of hygiene which will be the starting point for getting rid of these horrid skin concerns. Next week, we look at some ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen cupboards that are amazing for your skin. Till then... remember: flawless makeup starts with a healthy skin!

Aisha Buhari has been lauded for her promotion of mother and child health care since her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari took over the leadership of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The wife of Nigeria's president, Aisha Buhari has been lauded by a gender activist for her advocacy, mobilization and promotion of mother and child health in the country.

According to an article by Afolake Araoye, a social and gender activist, Hajia Buhari 's intervention and support for many nursing mothers across the country, especially those in rural areas points out to the fact that she is not leaving anything to chance at ensuring that the plight of women and children is attended to by the present government.

"With the help of local and international donor agencies and development partners within and outside of Nigeria, Hajia Buhari is already championing the Mother and Child vision because she simply believes that the health of women and children goes a long way at providing a measure of development for any country and the world at large," Araoye disclosed.

Araoye further said that Hajia Buhari’s new venture, development partners and other inter agency bodies are already indicating willingness to support this new milestone in the country's bid to eliminate malnutrition and maternal/new born deaths.

10 important things Senate President said about his warrant of arrest

It said the office is perturbed that the tribunal chose to ignore the a subsisting order of a Federal High Court by sitting.

In reaction to the bench warrant of arrest issued on him by the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Friday, Bukola Saraki's office said it is an abuse of the rule of law.
This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President's office, Yusuf Olaniyonu.

It said the office is perturbed that the tribunal chose to ignore the a subsisting order of a Federal High Court by sitting.

“It is a surprise to us that despite the application by the lead counsel to the Senate President that he will produce Dr. Saraki on Monday and the personality of the person involved as the Number three man in the country, the Tribunal insisted on issuing a warrant of arrest as if its intention is simply to embarrass Dr. Saraki,” the statement read.
Read below 10 important things pointed out in the Senate President's Office response to the warrant of arrest:
1. While the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, had stated and maintains that he is ready to submit himself to due process of the law on any issue concerning him, he also believes he has an inalienable right to resort to the same judiciary for protection when he feels his fundamental rights are about to be infringed upon.

2. It is for this reason that Dr. Saraki, having satisfied himself that the case filed by the CCB and the manner in which the case was filed shows that he will not be given justice, resorted to the Federal High Court for the determination of the issues of competence of the prosecutor as well as compliance with the procedure stipulated in the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act.
3. The Federal High Court on Thursday, September 17, 2015, therefore ordered that the all parties in the case should appear before it on Monday, September 21, 2015. The implication of this ruling by a Court of competent jurisdiction is that the sitting today has been overtaken by event. It is for this reason that Dr. Saraki chose to go about with his normal official schedule.
4. Today at the Tribunal, Counsel to the Senate President, Mr. M. A. Mahmud (SAN), raised a motion stating that there is a pending constitutional matter before the Federal High Court to be decided on Monday and that the Tribunal should hold the trial until the constitutional matter is disposed of.

5. We are however dismayed that the Tribunal chose to disregard the order of the Federal High Court and the motion to suspend hearing till Monday when all parties are expected to argue their positions on the constitutional matter.
6. It is also a surprise to us that despite the application by the lead counsel to the Senate President that he will produce Dr. Saraki on Monday and the personality of the person involved as the Number three man in the country, the Tribunal insisted on issuing a warrant of arrest as if its intention is simply to embarrass Dr. Saraki. We are not unmindful of the fact that the Tribunal is acting under political influence and external pressure. This is dangerous to our democracy.
7. The conduct of the Tribunal today left nobody in doubt that it cannot do justice on the matter before it. It is also clear that today’s decision is an abuse of the rule of law which portends danger to our judicial system. The Tribunal has equally set a bad precedent in the way and manner it conducted itself during the proceedings.
8. We want to emphasise the fact that this is not part of any war against corruption but using state institutions to fight political opponents and seeking to achieve through the back door what some people cannot get through democratic process.
9. We need to caution here that in a desperate bid to settle political scores and nail imaginary enemies, we should not destroy our democratic institutions and heat the polity for selfish reasons. Let us all learn from history.
10. The Senate President is a law abiding citizen who will not do anything to undermine the judicial process and authority. However, Dr. Saraki will always act to protect his fundamental human rights.

Married woman caught in bed with randy lecturer

A randy lecturer in Delta State has been caught red handed sleeping with another man's wife.

Caught red handed

It was a show of shame as a lecturer with the Federal College of Education, Asaba, Delta State, identified simply as Simeon, was caught red handed having sex with a married woman, whose name was given as Winifred, at a hotel located along Abraka road in the town.
But for the intervention of the police, the sex-crazed lecturer would have been lynched by a mob that were mobilized by the angry husband of the woman who had stormed the hotel following a tip off that his wife and the lecturer were lodged at the hotel.
It was gathered that the affair between the lecturer and Winifred, actually kicked off when she was a student of the institution and continued even after she had graduated and the husband had been informed of the unholy union.
The man's suspicion was further fuelled when he intercepted a love text message the lecturer sent to his wife asking her to meet him at the hotel and he carefully laid a trap for the cheating duo and on the day of the incident, after leaning that the wife had gone to meet the man in the designated hotel, he mobilized the mob and stormed the secret love rendezvous where he caught his adulterous wife with her lover boy who is equally a married man.
To add insult to injury, the aggrieved husband actually went to the hotel with some members of his wife's family who broke into the room to see their married sister stark naked having sex with another man.
The cheating spouse, it was learnt, got the beating of their lives before they were rescued by policemen from the ‘B’ Division of the state Police Command who quickly whisked them to their station to avoid being lynched.

Man cuts off 6-yr-old Albino boy’s hand to use it for witchcraft

The strange belief that body parts of an Albino can be used to gain supernatural powers has led to a 6-year-old having his hand chopped off.

The police in Tanzania has heard how a man broke into a house and chopped off the arm of a sleeping 6-year-old Albino child with the aim of using it for witchcraft.
The boy, Baraka Cosmas, according to his mother, was sleeping in her room when the assailant broke into the room and hacked off his right hand.
In what has become a regular feature of discrimination against Albinos in the country, the recent attack is one of a series of attacks against Albino minorities in the country.

It is the end of the road for some ritualists who have been posing as prophets as they were arrested by policemen in a raid in the Owode area of Oyo State.
According to a statement from the state Police Command, the four fake prophets were actually ritualists as fresh human parts were discovered from them in their hideout.
The police statement said the four were part of a syndicate which deals in human parts in the state which, in recent times, have become the hottest hub for ritual killers and kidnappers.
The state Commissioner of Police, Kola Sodipo, while addressing newsmen, said the suspects were arrested in an uncompleted building at Owode area of the state after intelligence reports showed that the criminals were usually gathering at the place.
One of the suspects, Jacob Odetunde, according to the CP, had allegedly confessed to the police that the human parts found on them were from a man they had earlier killed at Ogbomoso area of the state and they were waiting for their customers who include top politicians and businessmen.
“The suspects who all disguised as prophets, have confessed to the crime,” the Commissioner of Police said.
Recall that in the past few months, ritualists and kidnappers have been on rampage in the ancient town and late last year, the police had discovered a kidnappers' den in the Soka area where decomposing bodies of victims were discovered.

Nigerian gay, Bisi Alimi says Pastor Adeboye is a greedy parasite

Nigerian gay activist, Bisi Alimi says Pastor Enoch Adeboye is a greedy parasite who lives off his church members.
Bisi Alimi has called out on Pastor Adeboye
Popular Nigeria gay activist Bisi Alimi

Popular Nigerian gay activist, Bisi Alimi, is not a happy man today after news broke that Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has bought a brand new private Gulfstream aircraft, and has been going ballistic, calling the  much respected man of God greedy, corrupt and a parasite on his church members.
Alimi who is one of the most influential gays in the world going by ranking by World Pride Power List in 2014, took to his Facebook page to condemn Adeboye for buying a private jet when most of his members are jobless, poor and are the ones contributing money to fund their lifestyles.
Read what Bisi Alimi wrote:
"Pastor Adeboye is an epitome of greed, corruption and everything bad that has enslaved Nigerians, not just at home but globally. This greedy man of GOSH is parasite that lives on the poverty of his church members.
Nigeria has one of the highest rate of youth unemployment in the world. Nigeria health service is in a sorry state. Here we have a supposedly "MAN OF GOSH" living fat on the vulnerability of his members.
This man now has one of his pastors as the Vice President of Nigeria. The separation of church from the state in Nigeria is like trying to separate gin from lemonade.
I know this post will attract some hate and bigotry, but if you can be honest with yourself and face the truth instead of acting like the "idiots" some of you are good at acting.
How has religion and men of GOSH improved the quality of life (I meant quality and not standard) of everyone of you? Still you will go to church on Sunday, give your widow's mite to these thieves in the night that only come to destroy your essence as human being and they in turn will use your money to build houses you can't rent, schools you can't attend, hospitals you can't pay for and planes that you will never be close enough to take a selfie with not to even talk of getting on board.
Wake up NIGERIANS from your sleep and slumber, see these greedy, arrogant and sly men for who are they. Take a week and not go to church, turn that energy to question everything you know.
Take it to know something you don't know before. Switch off from everything you have been taught and open your mind eyes. Don't be deceived, these men are after your money and not the goodness of mankind."
