Another Nigerian sentenced to death for drug trafficking in Malaysia

A Nigerian drug trafficker who left his thriving business for the illicit trade has been sentenced to death in Malaysia.

The dream of 36-year-old Nigerian, Alexis Zogbelemow, to make fast money through drug trafficking, has been truncated as a Shah Alam High Court in Malaysia, has sentenced him to death, reports Malay News.

Zogbelemow ran a successful rental car business in Nigeria before he went on the trip of no return and was unlucky to be caught at the main arrival hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang, on February 28, 2012, with 824.1 grammes of Methamphetamine.

Female politicians stripped naked in Uganda for joining opposition party

Two female politicians in Uganda who dumped the ruling party for the opposition were arrested, stripped naked and dehumanised by the police.

Some parts of Africa are still under oppressive rule as two topfemale politicians in Uganda were arrested and stripped naked for dumping the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), to the main opposition party, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).

In a show of intolerance characteristic of most African leaders, the Ugandan Police commander Kale Kayihura reportedly stripped and manhandled two leading female oppositions politicians including party leader, Zaina Fatuma, and an aide who are members of the FDC national executive committee.

The women were paraded naked in public and the sad incident recorded and posted on Facebook.

5-yr-old boy fights for his life after rape by 25-yr-old man

The incident is reported to have taken place at the Alakuko area of Lagos State.


News reports reveal that a 5-yr-old boy is presently fighting for his life at a private hospital after being raped by a 25-yr-old woman.

The incident is reported to have taken place at the Alakuko area of Lagos State.

The 5-yr-old boy, whose name has been withheld, is reported to have been playing with his friends before the alleged suspect bribed him with a pack of biscuit before taking him home and raping him.

Neighbours were said to have been attracted by the little boy's cries, and upon reaching the scene of the incident had seen blood on his pant.

Upon closer investigation, it had been discovered that the little boys anus was gushing blood following the assualt.

When asked what had caused the bleeding, the boy had reported named the suspect, which had in turn led to his arrest.

Mr. Fatai Owoseni, The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, confirmed the incident saying that the case had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja.

Over the years, Nigeria has recorded an increase in the rate at which buildings collapse.

The Nation reports that Famakin is proffering the compulsory testing of building materials, soil testing as the solution.

At the Eighth Anniversary of LSMTL in Lagos, the MD advised the government to make testing compulsory, adding that none of the tested building materials have been involved in collapses.
